Rain and High Winds Did Not Keep Me From My Open House
We need rain in California.
I didn’t particularly want it during my open house.
But there isn’t much I can do about it.
So when I heard that rain was predicted Sunday afternoon....
I made sure my open house directional signs were out early.
Some drizzle started.
I turned on my lights and my windshield wipers.
As I headed to my open house….I saw one of my signs had already tumbled over.
So I stopped and put it back it place.
A couple of others along the way needed to be placed back in their upright position.
I answered my phone in route.
Are you still having your open house today?
Yes. I’ll be there at little before 1 and until 4PM today.
Attendance was brisk that first hour.
But the rain started coming down pretty fiercely.
And wind.
Howling wind.
Some others came through.
About 3PM -- I asked two slightly soggy visitors -- how did you find me?
They replied.
Your signs.
That’s good. That means they are still standing.
Well...some were….but we managed to figure out the direction based on how they were positioned along the road.
(My Open House was on a winding road in the Hills).
Like leaving crumbs along the path to ensure not getting lost, people found thier way to my open house.
Who says Los Angeles drivers can’t navigate through some rough weather?
And I’d say there were some pretty motivated buyers out there today too.
