What a delight is was to visit with Amanda Thomas. This extraordinary Broker/Owner of Providence Realty Group, a boutique brokerage in Plano, Texas, has been on my Active Rain radar for some time. She is a wife, mom, Realtor, recruiter, motivator, teacher, mentor, marketing guru, and more.
Amanda made the decision to leave her corporate IT marketing position in 2010. In six short years, she has made a difference in the lives of those who work with her at Providence Realty Group and the lives of the clients she has served. Going the extra mile is part of Amanda's DNA.
Growing up in Lyford, Texas, a small town north of Brownsville and making her way to the Dallas area via Houston afforded Amanda the opportunity to experience diverse life experiences. Without a doubt , her small town upbringing and her corporate experiences created a winning combination of compassion for others and entrepreneurial spirit necessary to create and manage a thriving business while caring for her beautiful family.
Amanda's Facebook entries make it clear to all who visit her page what is important in her life. Two quotes on Amanda's Facebook page caught my attention:
"Character is how you treat those who can do nothing for you."
-Mentors Chanel January 29
"A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in."
Personal real estate investment experiences have provided Amanda and her husband with first hand information about what it takes to renovate a property while living in the home. They have purchased homes and lived in them during the renovation process, in preparation for resale. They have also invested in rental properties.
Amanda's marketing background permeates her business. Even her voice mail system delivers a friendly message along with pertinent business information that engages the caller. Without sharing her amazing business secrets, I can say that Amanda researched many programs and systems before implementing her successful approach to marketing and business management.
Business in North Texas is booming! In 2016 Amanda plans to expand her business, with the help of her husband. Active Rain will play a role in their marketing.
