Eastchester homes and businesses could experience flooding rain and a damaging thunderstorm this week ~ NY 10709

Was anyone else in the 9A backup last night after a "carbecue" shut down the parkway? I was coming home from a lovely sunny afternoon at our horse, Krystol and went from 60 to -0- at Shrub Oak. Throwing on the hazards, we all managed not to hit each other.
We are unseasonably warm this week and higher temps should stick around this week, followed by heavy rains and potential flooding in southern Westchester on Wednesday. That's when we need to watch out for damaging wind and storms in the northern suburbs near NYC...actually through March because of El Nino...yes, again...still!

Temperatures will hit the 50s on Monday afternoon with a 30% chance of showers. A nice sunshiny day on Tuesday is on tap with temps in the upper 40s. That's normal for us, north of New York City, so take your lunch outside and get some air and sun!

Showers and possible thunderstorms will enter the region on Wednesday. Up to one inch of precipitation is possible...in some homes and businesses, too!
Sunny skies will return on Thursday and Friday with temperatures gradually dropping back to a more normal range, in the 30s. Watch out for damaging thunderstorms Wednesday and we'll see you on the road, in our green trucks!
Had to share, as we keep having this oddly timed winter warm ups and weather -- that may impact your travel, your family's safety and our business and homeowner clients.
Enjoy the warmth & be safe with weird, warmer weather this week!
