Start snickering now, you smart snow belt agents

By

Ok, you smart California, Texas and Florida agents.  You can start laughing at me now.  In La Crosse, we are expecting about 8 - 10 inches of snow today.  I think we will hit the 10 inch mark at least if it keeps snowing like this all day.

The little black flecks in the picture?  That's the snow falling.  I can't see down the block right now.

I need a beach.  Right now.  If I can get out of my driveway.  Sigh.

I am with you today, just used the snowblower for about 8" or more off the drive and sidewalks.  Schools are closed and many stayed home today, still snowing.

You were supposed to use all the moisture so we didn't get as much snow!!

I never snicker, and I learned soon after moving here from New England that people back there in the winter did NOT want to hear me gloat about the weather here in SoCal. We made our decision and I'm happy. I do hope the groundhog's prediction is right for y'all. Stay in side and be safe and warm.

The problem with the groundhog is that 6 more weeks on the east coast is early for us!

I have about 10" at my house right now.  Hoping it will stop sometime today so we can dig out.  Sorry we are sending you the snow.

Are you supposed to get the high winds also?  The interstate in Western Minnesota is closed due to blizzard winds.

Hi Joan -- Laugh?  Me?   Nah, I wouldn't do that.   But as we often see on Facebook and other places in Social Media....I love looking at snow...on television...far...far...away.

Thats where my husband would prefer to be looking at this snow also.  If it weren't for family here, we'd be long gone.

Cute post, Joan. I feel your pain. We received five inches yesterday. It would have been a lot more, because it snowed all day Sunday, too. But most of that melted when it hit the ground.

Joan, I enjoy seeing all the snow photos. We had some more rain late last night and early this morning ... If it snowed here I would go out and play in it.

Joan, Funny post and good luck with all that snow. I grew up in Chicago and know all too well what it is like to get hit with a major snow storm. Stay safe, warm and hopefully stay away from driving in dangerous conditions.

Joan Dickie I feel for you but there is hope.  Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow so spring will come early. We hope.
