This was the second time that we held our ActiveRain Meet-Up at G & M Restaurant and I suspect, it wasn't the last. Meet-ups are always so much fun! We spend a couple hours (at least) chatting about our listings, family, marketing ideas, personal goals and blogging, of course ... and we laugh and hug a lot, too! Today I also had my brain picked by a future Real Estate Rock Star and future blogger (we hope!).
It was my pleasure to share some of my successes, happy endings and challenges. The best advice I can give however, popped into my head after leaving the meet-up:
You have to be passionate about Real Estate in order to survive and thrive!
No 2 days are ever alike for a REALTOR® (one of the reasons why I love it so much), you have to be quick on your feet, be able to multitask and to listen .. between the lines. You have to wear many different hats, constantly learn, develop and grow and know when to take the high road. You have to be OK with trading some a lot of quiet time for touring multiple homes or negotiation marathons. You have to want to help, persistently search for solutions when others throw in the towel. You have to feel that excitement when a new opportunity or challenge presents itself. You have to genuinely LIKE it.
If you do, then your passion will show and infect others. You will not only survive but thrive.
