"Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you'll
start having positive results". -Willie Nelson
Have you ever been in a situation that made you cringe your teeth and wonder how the heck you got there? For most of us (who are truthful with ourselves), the answer is yes. The worst part is, many of us will allow the current situation at hand to negatively affect future situations that may be similar. It can be very hard to take the negative, accept it for the learning experience it is, and move forward with a positive attitude. But why is that? Is it because our world is so full of negativity that we have to fight to see the positive, or is it because we chose to see the negative over the positive? I think it's a little bit of both.
Our society today likes to take negative situations and fuel them with more negativety. In reality, does that truly help anything? We all know that it doesn't, so why do we feed into the negativity? It takes just as much energy, if not more, to hold onto the negative rather than the positive. And whether we like to admit it or not, it is our conscious decision to either encourage the negativity or put it out. So today I challenge us to put out any negative situation, or thought, with confident positivity. Let me know what kind of response you get from others, and even yourself.
