Marina Towers (Alexandria City)

Marina Towers sits north of Old Town in Alexandria City. It is a high-rise condominium, built in 1970, consisting of 284 residential units, a convenience store, and some shared amenities, including a gym, a swimming pool, and a fiesta room (a really large one at that).

Contrary to the name, there is no marina.  The water is simply too shallow--one would need to travel further north to Daingerfield Island or south into Old Town for a boat slip.

The Mount Vernon Trail runs along the GW Parkway, just behind Marina Towers.

Old Town, a mile south, offers many restaurants and shopping. Del Ray lies just to the west, and likewise offers restaurants and other conveniences. Reagan National Airport sits a couple miles north.

Route 1 and the George Washington Parkway lead north to Arlington and Washington, DC, and south to Fairfax County.
