Today, February 4th is World Cancer day.
World Cancer Day is celebrated all over the world to raise awareness about the causes, symptoms, and treatment of cancer. This day is celebrated on 4th of February every year. It was first recommended and organized by the Union for international Cancer Control (UICC) to encourage and support the World Cancer declaration goals, which were written in 2008. The primary goal of celebrating this day is to reduce illness and deaths caused by this disease.
If you and your loved ones have not been touched by this disease, consider yourself very fortunate. Cancer is devastating, and it affects not only the patient but all those around them who love them so very much.
Today I will wear purple, and I will be strong for all those who are fighting this most horrific disease.
