It will be interesting to see if this trend continues going into the busy Spring real estate market. The New Brunswick government just announced a doubling of the property transfer tax effective April 1. This and the rise in the Home Price Index may influence some first time buyers to purchase now rather than in the Spring.
There are still some well priced offerings out there in the housing market; however they may not remain for long.
