Staying fit with a Busy Lifestyle!
With New Year Resolutions slowly coming to a lull, the reasons why we wanted to work out are falling further and further from our mind. And reasons why not to work out seem to start piling up. We have put together a list of reasons why we don’t work out, and added solutions to those, let’s face it… EXCUSES!
Reasons why not:
- I don’t have time
- I don’t have a gym membership
- I’m just not motivated anymore
- I have more important things to think about
- Where do I start?
- I don’t want to do it alone
Reasons why those are not reasons, they’re EXCUSES:
When you’re finding it harder and harder to find time to take care of the thing that takes care of you (you’re body), it is time to improvise! Here at Keller Williams- Rancho Cucamonga, the JM Realty Group has started our lunch time walks around the block and fitbit challenge of 10,000 steps per day...
We are definitely busy and roaring since the first of the year, but we are dedicated to staying healthy. Using what we have available to us, we have also organized a ZERO-cost fitness accountability group here at the office that encourages all of us.
We organize hikes monthly and have fought long and hard to get the chocolate bars out of our vending machines (joking)! But we are focusing on making healthier choices when having lunch. By doing this we have found we are more productive as a community achieving our goals than as an individual stressing and binge eating on quick fixes, such as sugar packed soda’s and candy bars.
It is easy to find excuses to stay stagnant, that is in anything in life. It isn’t harder to make small changes for a bigger purpose, just a little challenging & stretching outside of your comfort zone.
