Zillow / Postlets What You Don't Know About The Recent ReBranding

By
Real Estate Agent with Kona Home Team (luva llc) RS 62947

Most of you have known about Zillow's acquisition of Postlets 5 years ago, this is not what we are here to talk about today(that was actually a good thing)

What I am here to discuss with you, is what Zillow is doing with your  leads generated by Postlets, more so the QR code generator within Postlets.

Personally I have used Postlets for a very  long time,  and all went pretty smooth prior to this, that all changed last week with the new Forwarding of the Poslets to Zillow Rental Manager.

Now Zillow was very quick to correcting me on this , " this was not just "redirected" to Zillow, but it is  "rebranded"  to Zillow Rental Manager..."

Please ZILLOW, call it what it is, if it looks like a pig, squealls like a pig, and rolls in the mud like a pig - its a pig!

All it is, is a redirect of the old Postlets to the new Zillow

Try yourself

www.Postlets.com  is now

https://www.zillow.com/rental-manager/posts/#/all/

Now I am not a rental manager, wouldnt touch rentals with a 10 foot pole, I am not even comfortable singning into a "rental manager" page!

One of the features that I really liked with Postlets, it came with an  "QR Code" generator and when you scanned that code on your phone, you came up with a very nice "mobile freindly" listing for the person scanning it. I use it on my yard signs, and for buyers that were consciousnesses of the environment, they ould just scan the code and have it in their phone, secondly if your flyer box was empty, or flyer's were all wet, they could just scan the QR code also.

Well....... I posted a new sign the other day, scanned the code I had on the sign and it now takes me to the  ZILLOW sign up page, those sneaky little zillow people..........  It takes them right to their sign up page.

No  more taking you to your listings you  uploaded,  but just another sneaky way to sell you more of your own leads

      =

Isnt that convienent !

NOT .....

Personally I think that is all dirty play,

Realtor For Sale homes under the Rental Manager section of Zillow, QR codes that lead to "sign up" for Zillow App, shame on you  Zillow, and if you feel the same way, please go over and let them know.

Obviusly the simple answer for me is to just go over and delete all my for sale propeties in Zillows Rental Manager section, but,

I just want to make sure that other agents are aware of what is  happening, and call it a day.

Aloha and Mahalo for reading this.
