I have lived in my present house In Middletown, CT since August of 1981. There is nothing special about the looks or style of this house. It is a small Cape on a small lot, but it has all the grass I have ever wanted to cut, and lots of love within it. This house is where both my sons were raised in, and the house I have grown old matured with my wife in. For Me And My Family Our House Is Not Just A House, It Is Our Home.
This house may not be a special architecturally designed house, but what this house lacks in looks and style, it makes up ten-fold in the memories it has given me and my family as our home. A house is a structure, but a home is much more. A home goes far beyond the physical structure. A home is the people within it, their joy, their laughter, their tears, and their love.
There are many houses that look exactly the same as mine, but my home is one of a kind. A house can be replaced, but a home is irreplaceable. A home is not made up of bricks and mortar, it is built from love and joy. A home is family where everyone always returns to.
My home is everything I have described and much more. There is nothing fancy about my home as I have already stated. My home is a very modest place, it is a reflection of myself and my family. My home is one in which everyone is welcomed, especially those without family near by. That is especially true every Thanksgiving when we fill our home with those who we know do not have family close by, such as college kids, and others who are to far away from family to share Thanksgiving with. On occasions like Thanksgiving those we invite become our family and our home, their home.
There is no special room in my home, because all of them have special memories, but my wife would tell you the den is my favorite room as long as I can control the remote control to the TV set.
My family and I have created many special memories in our home for over 35 years, but we are not done creating memories. There are still many more memories to be made here. My two boys are married now, and I have my first grandchild, with hopes of many more. They will come to know this simple structure as their home, and where Vavu (grandfather) and Vavo (grandmother) live. We will make special memories for them here, so they can share with their children.
I love what I do, because as a Loan Originator I help others purchase houses which they will turn into a home, as I have mine.
