For 18 years I have met with the same group of women for our Book Club. We have been through it all, children, sickness, loss, divorce, grandchildren (expected and unexpected), etc. We have laughed and we have cried. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Now that our children are in college or on the other side of it, those that were stay at home moms are back out in the work force and once again, our conversations discuss all of the positives and negatives of the change. We met last week and we talked about someone that had been with us for a short time but truly only used the group as a platform for networking. It was not received well, she took it a step too far.
In any case, the conversation became “is it wrong to advertise your services on your personal Facebook page?”. One member felt very strongly. She is in sales and works very hard selling employee benefits, but stated “Linked in is for business, my Facebook page is where I socialize with family and friends.” I would like to hear from Active Rain what your thoughts are! Thank you!
