Bridging the Outer Banks of NC

Abundant and diverse waterways draw almost a half million visitors to the OBX yearly.  Bridges provide critical access points.  Here is some current info on two important projects in the works....

 

FINAL APPROVAL!   Construction starts in March.  Projected completion is set for spring of 2018.

ON AGAIN, OFF AGAIN!  In late November, Governor McCrory okayed accelerating the timetable to start construction to 2017.  Soon after, the Southern Environmental Law Center submitted written notice of opposition to the project.
