There are many ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day in your home town.

There are the traditional venues of buying flowers at grocers or florists, candy and grocers or specialty stores, or treat your special person to dinner at a nearby restaurant – whether it’s a sweet treat at DQ, a take-out pizza from Red Pepper in Duvall or Brava’s in Snohomish or teriyaki dinner at Best Teriyaki and Sushi in Duvall or a sit-down meal at a favorite restaurant.

If you are thinking of buying a gift for the special person, it’s a great way to support your local business, too:

©      Looking for a craft?  Try a craft shop – Tolt Yarns, Quintessential Knits or Ben Franklin.

©      Looking for home project supplies?  Try a hardware stores – Ace Hardware, True Value or Lowe’s.

©      Looking for an automotive gift?  Try an auto parts stores – Duvall Auto Parts, Napa, O’Reilly’s, Auto Zone or Highway Auto Supply.

©      Something else?  Try an antique store or a movie theater or a pet store or…

Celebrate without a gift – just spend time with your special person.

©      Take a walk around your neighborhood or on the old railroad trail along the Snoqualmie River or explore the stores in your hometown downtown.

©      Go to the swap meet at the Monroe Fairgrounds.

©      Have coffee (or tea or…) in the kitchen.

There are many ways to celebrate; many stores to visit; and many places to see right in our own communities.  Just enjoy!
