Bob Timm Elected Vice President Of The Minot MLS

Bob Timm Vice President Minot MLSYesterday was one of those days were I felt a lot more like the bug than the windshield BUT there was a very bright spot to my day, I was elected Vice President of the Minot Multiple Listing Service.

The Minot Multiple Listing Service is Broker owned with 9 Broker/Owners. Including the election of new officers it was a lengthy meeting including topics such as MLS Data, discussions about direct feeds to Zillow and Trulia, private parties wanting to host "Open House" sites and charging us for it and more.

Of course the biggest time burner was going through our budget and getting us (me especially) to understand the change in accounting methods from last year to this year.

I'm really excited about this new challenge and learning more about our MLS, how it works, and how I can contribute to making it even more affective than it already is.

Thank you Joan Dickie this is only my 2nd meeting and the 1st one was actually over a year ago when I was there by proxy so I've got a lot of catching up to do before getting to vocal.

Congratulations, Bob, and good luck! Having one of these positions in my MLS is like having a full-time, unpaid job... so I've stayed clear! It's great when agents like yourself are willing to contribute. And as Bill Roberts said, now you can't complain about mls rules.

I was assured by the past VP that it's a cake-walk Nina Hollander so now I'll see if he was pulling my leg. I think the biggest thing will be preparing to be President when he steps down from that position.

At this point the majority of us do not want to give Z and T a feed William Feela . This is a pretty sharp bunch that understands they will just try to sell leads back to us from our own info.
