WHY DO PEOPLE CALL TRAFFIC LIGHTS STOP LIGHTS?

I agree.  I usually give directions by saying at the light turn right.  I have practiced being positive.  Life can be very discouraging when a person thinks negatively.

Sybil - Tending to see things in a negative way I think often begins at a very early age if you really think about it.

I have a friend who always calls these Go lights, a much better way to approach life.

Many in my area actually call them "stop and go lights"  But every area is different

I remember someone giving directions saying, " turn at the 3rd stop light." What if the light is green?
