WHY DO PEOPLE CALL TRAFFIC LIGHTS STOP LIGHTS?

Reblogger

I love this short but to the point blog post by Conrad Allen, it really got me thinking about our tendancy to view the world in a negative way.

Original content by Conrad Allen 74203

Why aren't they go lights?  This is like calling the glass half empty.  Perception becomes reality with so many people.  We are what we think.  Imagining all the things that can go wrong is stinking thinking.  Do your worse case scenario projections.  If you live with then go on with your decision.

Paralysis with analysis is procrastination times infinity.  Good or bad, right or wrong make the decision and live with it.  This is how you come to have confidence in yourself.  Making decisions helps you grow as a person.  We all make mistakes. Learn from them.

I agree.  I usually give directions by saying at the light turn right.  I have practiced being positive.  Life can be very discouraging when a person thinks negatively.

Sybil - Tending to see things in a negative way I think often begins at a very early age if you really think about it.

I remember someone giving directions saying, " turn at the 3rd stop light." What if the light is green?
