Life in Foxwood
Foxwood is located just outside of Columbus Ohio in Gahanna at 571 Kason's Way. It's nestled about 20 minutes or 12 miles from downtown Columbus just south of the Gahanna woods nature preserve. This new home community is nestled in one of America's best school districts and Gahanna has been rated as one of the best places to live. Gahanna Ohio is known as the "Herb Capital of Ohio" and is the hometown of notable NFL player John Hughes for the Cleveland Browns. The name "Gahanna" is a Native American word meaning "three creeks joining into one". Gahanna was once known as Big Wallet Creek and originally founded in 1849. This small, hometown community features luxury homes, contemporary condominiums and townhouses and traditional style properties.
What Type of Features do Foxwood Homes Have?
Several of these homes have already been built and are priced at about $125 a square foot. Home started about $300,000-$400,000. These homes feature air-conditioning, vaulted ceilings, skylights and select units, fireplaces, two or three car garages, double pane windows, would shake roofs and wood siding.
Lots are between 9000 ft.² and 12,000 ft.² and homes were built from 2008 to present time. Many of these homes have an open and airy atmosphere throughout. Two-story homes lead into a huge entryway with dramatic family rooms. There's lots of windows to allow natural son to come pouring in. The large, eat in kitchens are right off the family room, perfect and ideal for entertaining. Homes offer granite countertops, cabinets with pullout storage, center islands in many units and stainless steel appliances. Gahanna has an excellent school district. Gahanna Ohio is part of the Gahanna-Jefferson Public School District and there are seven elementary schools, three middle schools and one high school. There are also several private educational options including the Columbus Academy and the Gahanna Christian Academy.
The school district includes the city of Gahanna and parts of Jefferson and Mifflin Township with about 35,000 residents.There are about 7000 students in the school district. The Gahanna Jefferson school district does not have an open enrollment policy and parents must be a resident of the school district to enroll their child. The Gahanna school district operates its schools with safety of the number one priority. At all levels including elementary through high school, students, staff and faculty build strong relationships and trust. Each building is equipped with security monitors and visitors are required to sign in & out to protect the children and adults within them. The Gahanna Police Department patrols residential areas and roads surrounding the school monitoring the parking lots and goings and comings of people at all times. On the high school, campus supervisors get to know the student body and monitor arrival and departure times as well as lunch hours and breaks.
They have a crisis management plan to respond to emergency events and work with community law enforcement, fire officials, principals and teachers in order to minimize any serious emergencies and how to handle them properly if they do occur.
Of the 11 schools in this school district thetop-rated school is the Jefferson elementary coming in at five stars with a score of 9 out of 10 by great schools.org. The High Point elementary school also has a score of 9 with the Gahanna middle school coming in at 8. The Blacklick, Goshen Lane and Chapelfield elementary school all have scores of 8
