You can see in the chart below that housing inventory in Skagit county this January was 34% lower than it was in January of 2014! 26% lower in Whatcom County and 28% in Snohomish County!
With inventory so reduced, you would think sales might be down... not the case! Home sales are up the most in Skagit County where they are increased 40% compared to January 2014! Huge increases in Snohomish and Whatcom counties as well at 36% and 27% repsectively.
It is not suprising that homes are selling more quickly, the average number of days on the market are down 27% in Skagit County, 19% in Snohomish County and 17% Whatcom County.
Low supply has helped home prices to increase 13% in Skagit County and 27% in Snohomish County - making it a great time to sell your home!
Since mortgage rates remain very low, this is also a terrific time for buyers to get the most for their money.
