Great Customer Service Is Priceless
Oh yes it is!
I have taken my jeep to a couple different dealerships in my area. This past week, I chose one that was not my usual choice. It is a larger dealership and they promised that they could look at my car faster than the other one. So I took it there.
Turns out, it was a mistake.
Oh the car is fine, but the service was horrible.
I first learned that the fact that someone answered my phone call when I made the inquiry was a fluke. In the week and a half that followed, no one ever answered the phone at the service department. The only way I managed to get any update was to reach the manager who hunted down my "service" rep.
It went downhill right away.
From the beginning, every deadline was missed. This included the first diagnosis which was a day later than they promised over the phone. "I'm sorry, we had more cars ahead of you than we thought." Uh huh!
Parts were ordered wrong. "Chrysler sent us the wrong part." Sure they did. Deadlines for finishing were off. "It was harder to reach than we thought." "It's taking longer than we thought."

Don't these people do this for a living?
I always had to hunt down my "service" rep for updates and the only time I heard from him was when the car was actually done.
I picked it up a little while ago.....dirty.
The dealership not chosen? While they told me up front that they couldn't look at it until the following day, in the 7 years I've used them, they never took longer than they promised. And the washed the car before giving it back to me.
Great customer service? Priceless!
For the record. The problem dealership was Tuttle Click Jeep in Irvine. The great one? Capistrano Jeep. Think about it next time you need service.
