Ventura: "La Barranca" New Construction - Each Floorplan Discussed..

Yesterday I got the chance to tour the new construction homes being built above Foothill Road, in Ventura California.  The name of the community is, "La Barranca."  The small 9-home development is being built by Williams Homes.  The community is set up in a cul-de-sac orrientation, and the top two homes (homesite #8 and #9) have their own private driveway - and the best views in the development, I might add.


Every home in the community has a downstairs bedroom - which I thought was a great idea.  


What I liked best about floorplan #1 was that all three upstairs bedrooms have their own private bathroom.  So, I instantly thought of my buyers with pre-teen children, who really like thier own bathroom space!  ;-)  So, in floorplan #1, there are actually 4.5 bathrooms in the house..  

What I liked best about floorplan #2 was that it actually has two master bedrooms: One on the 1st floor, and one on the 2nd floor.  Floorplan #2 is perfect for living with extended family, or inlaws, because of that 2nd master bedroom downstairs.

What I liked best about floorplan #3 was that it was the most spacious, and open feeling.  Also, I favor homes where the kitchen is the main focal point - homes where the kitchen feels like the gathering place.  In this floorplan #3, the kitchen is open to the living room and dining room.  So, if you're a cook (like me), then you won't ever feel like you're all alone cooking, while your family is in a different room. :-) 


My favorite homesite...

My favorite home being built was homesite #9, (which is floorplan #3).  This is the largest floorplan, with approximate square footage being 3,586.  It has 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms.  The lot size is 20,500 square feet.  This homesite has amazing ocean and city views from almost every room.  My personal favorite thing about this homesite was the openness of the kitchen, and how the kitchen area was open to the large living room area, and the large dining area.   I also really liked how the kitchen sink was in the center island, as opposed to being in the counter top by the wall.  And, this particular homesite has a private driveway, only shared by one other homesite, which is nice for privacy and quiet.


The pricing of the homes begin at 1.2 million and go up to about 1.9 million.  I would love to take you on a VIP tour of these amazing new executive homes, right here in our beautiful city... Ventura!
