Ok so I have only been in business for a few months. Things are slow for me , not to mention the time of year it is.

Did a consultation for an Agent 2 weeks ago & she( the client) was so excited she told people at work!

Well didn't I get a call from one of her associates! This poor Lady's house has been on the market since last July. She had an open house coming up on Sunday & I asked her to cancel it until I could get there & we assess the situation.

Well when I showed up for the consultation, I asked her how the Agent took her cancelling the open house she told me that the Agent had forgotten about it!

Needless to say I hadn't upset an Agent but, I can't believe that the agent had forgotten & this was only the second open house she was scheduled for since July!

I know in my heart of hearts that the consultation went well & my recommendations will help her prepare her home as a product for sale. Now she just has to get her Agent to do their job.

I think I got way off track here, the blog was about me getting my 1st referrall.

Congrats! Sounds like the day was a success and once the agent sees all the work and how great the home looks she (hopefully) will be ready to sell that house.

Congrats Diane and once you do a great job for one person, the referrals will multiply. Getting the right agent is KEY to selling this home. I just had one of my clients switch agents and the new agent believes in Staging so she reiterated everything I told them to do, that they would not. They did it, let's see what happens.

Hi Dianne.. and welcome to the "rain".. I'm pretty new at this game too.. I took my training workshop last May. I do think ( hope !) that we are beginning to come out of the winter doldrums, and that we all might begin to get busy..

I went to a few open houses last weekend, and introduced myself to several Realtors and presented them with some material about staging. Belive it or not, there are still Realtors who have not heard of STAGING ! I find myself doing a lot of "educating" . But I am finding that every agent is receptive .
