I'm New

By
Real Estate Agent with Remax OCE

Thanks to those for their comments and pointers following my first Blog. I plan on attending as many classes as I can and I'll worry about the designations later on down the line. Luckily I've partnered with an experienced team of Agents to lead me along the way. So far i have done one listings which i generated from a coworker and I seem to be getting a few more leads as I let my sphere of influence know that I am in the Real Estate Business.

The hard part and I'm sure this is nothing new to experienced agents is how to get the word out but not seem too pushy or repeat yourself over and over again. Like anyhting else it's a learning process.  So far i am having some luck as i have one possible buyer and from this person i have one and possibly two additional buyers leads so far.

The bad news is I am a diehard Red sox fan and this weekend was brutal for us. We were swept all five games at Fenway by the Bleepin Yankees.

Edward, welcome to AR.  I'm a newer agent this year, so feel free to bounce ideas off of me and certainly vice versa.  Congrats on the one listing.  I too work with a great bunch of experienced Realtors at Skogman Realty in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  I'm not worrying about designations either until my first year or so is over, and I have some experience to draw from.  I've been told this over and over, and that is to just be yourself and people will be drawn to you.  Email me and we can chat.

My husband supports us & my real estate pay is not needed to survive. I am not "hungry" for listings or buyers & I honestly think that relays to people. I'm not pushy, but I do take my job seriously & always excel when given a task. No one likes to feel a "hard sell". People want to know feel like they chose you on their own.

My advice to you is to relax & be confident. Your calmness will impress potential customers & make them feel naturally at ease with you.
