3 Things In Your Home that Are Causing You Stress

I was browsing researching ideas for my blog online and stumbled across a great article on the Good House Keeping website talking about things in your home that are causing significant stress. Click on the link to read the full article but here are my 3 favorites:

  3. Your Junk Food

I know, it really sucks, you're stressed out, tired and all you can think of is that something really bad for you would feel really good. And it would, right now, but studies show that junk food and caffeine induce stress so grab the carrot, and a glass of wine. You'll feel better.

  2. Your Noisy Television

You turn on the tv as soon as you walk in the door to keep you company or to entertain the kids while you cook dinner but apparently excess noise leads to excess stress which makes it more difficult to get your chores done. I guess we need to think about implementing a "quiet hour" or six in order to get our heads together. I think some quiet conversation is acceptable.

  1. Your Unmade Bed

I read once that you should make your bed first thing in the morning because at least you were guaranteed to accomplish one thing during your day, it also is supposed to help you sleep better and make you feel more organized, two things that help reduce stress. So you're Mom was right, make your bed.

Very interesting. Mom is always right in my humble opinion.

Trade a cup of coffee for wine? I guess, it will be worth a try, although I know many others who won't hesitate the switch.

Thanks for reading. All things in moderation I guess, coffee in the morning, wine in the evening works for me.
