If you are a home owner in Bellevue, Issaquah or Redmond Washington is careful not to over price your home, in today's market it is crucial that you price your home correctly if you want to sell.  We are finding a glut of over priced homes on the market.

When you put your home on the market, the first three weeks attracts the most interest.  After week three the interest level starts to fall off.  Realtors place your home in the multiple listing service; this is an online network for realtors.  It shows when the home went on the market and how long it has been there. As an example, when the (MLS) multiple listing service shows a home has been on market for 120,180 days the question in the realtors mind is, what is the matter with this property?

Some realtors will list your home for what ever you want regardless of how realistic the price is; when they do this their main motivation usually is not to sell your home but to use your home for an open house to attract other home buyers.  When a buyer comes to your open house and says to the realtor that is hosting it, "this house is nice but is too expensive for us" the realtor's response will always be, I have more inventory available, what price range are you looking for? They simple go to the MLS and find them another home that is more reasonably priced.

In today's real estate market if you really want to sell your home, have your realtor take you to see the competition and see what they are selling for; this will give you an idea of what your up against.
