Great Wolf Lodge is Open in Southern California!!!

Fun-tastic Indoor Water Park is now OPEN in Southern California. Located at 12681 Harbor Blvd., Garden Grove, CA 92840. It is the newest and only indoor water park in Southern California. Grand opening was held last weekend and so far the reviews have been blowing it out of the park. 

The construction began in 2014 with a budget of $250 million. It entails 603 rooms and a 105,000 square foot water park. Of all the 14 Great wolf lodges across America and Canada, this is the largest facility. It is expected to bring in a whopping $8M revenue in taxes for the City of Garden Grove. Many Californians wondered about the feasibility of building a water park during our states worst drought. Garden Grove officials aren't too worried as the park will be using the most advanced technology to filter, pump and recycle the water. It is also an indoor park, hence, they are only speculating a loss of 11,000 gallons of water per day due to dripping bathing suits and limited evaporation. The water temperature will remain at 84 degrees to maintain a comfort level for all its guests. 

The quote "build and they will come", seems to fall true as far as the Madison-Wisconsin based Great Wolf Lodges are concerned. Centerbridge was in talks to purchase the lodges and water park for  1.3billion acquisition at the beginning of last year. 

The park will only be accessible for guests who book a suite at Great Wolf lodge. There are three types of rooms to chose from: Standard, Themed (the most popular), and Premium. Overnight stay varies from $250/night to $500/night. Room occupancy is for a base of 4 family members with a maximum of 6 individuals. The room rates includes the fee for the water park passes. One will not need to go far for the dining experience at the resort. One can choose any of the following: Lodge Wood Fired Grill, The Loose Moose Family Kitchen, Hungry As A Wolf, Bear Paw Sweets And Eats, Buckets Incredible Craveables, Grizzly Jack's bar and Grill, and one can't forget to prioritize Dunkin' Donuts.

Other activities are also available if by any chance you tire out on the water slides. One can choose from Wolf Walk, The Forest Friends Show, Story Time, Great Wolf Kids activities and your typical Fitness and Spa.

Parking is FREE. Safety is of great concern, there are at least 2 lifeguards per station. Feel free to bring your gadgets, as there are strong WIFI signal throughout the water park.
