Staging Occupied Homes; Helping Sellers Achieve Their Goals.

Professional Stagers have a saying: The way people dwell in a home is not the way they sell a home.

4sale

Usually people have too much stuff & part of a Stager's in home consultation is dealing compassionately with how, why & what to declutter to make a home a marketable product.

to do list

Making a home marketable means: every room has a purpose so buyers don't have to guess, & using the appropriate decor to target the buyers in that area.

Using the existing items an owner has is always helpful to their budget.

But once in a while we come across a homeowner who doesn't have too much; they have too little. (or some don't have useable items due to age or wear).

Most Stagers will rent furniture, art & accessories to a seller so a home not only looks lived in, but sells a lifestyle.

Then the only thing left to happen is; buyers falling in love with a home, because they connect emotionally & can picture themselves living there!

The possiblities are endless!

Thanx Sharon!

I think I will have to depend on Homeowners to hire me since the Realtors here don't 'get' that a Half Million or Million (+) dollar home needs to look like one & that the target buyers are coming from cities where Staging is the norm so expectations (to pay asking $) are high.

Peg, I understand completely. The focus of my business is on occupieds. I work with the seller's things as much as possible but some times ..... you have to fill in the blanks for the buyers.

It's great isn't it!?

I'm just the opposite Janice; I have done mostly vacant, but the occupieds I did help the homeowners with was so satisfying!

Being able to use what they had & augment where needed to make a desriable marketable product a Realtor could run with & sell! Awesome feeling!
