RE/MAX National Housing Report ~ January 2016
A great start to the new year with home sales stronger than in January 2015. For home buyers, winter months are often a good time to buy before the traditionally more competitive spring and summer seasons.
January home sales increased 6.3% in year-over-year sales. The median price of homes increased 6.7%, up for the 48th consecutive month as of January 2016.
The month's supply of homes for sale remained below five months at 4.6 months as compared with 5.2 months in January 2015. Average days-on-market were 71, nine days lower than in January 2015.

Median sale price of Charlotte region homes was up 7.8% compared with January 2015 (1.1% higher than the national average).
