While the Colorado Springs / El Paso County area is blessed many great school districts, one of the most popular is also one of the largest, District 20, the Academy District.

While the district does have a couple of public schools on the Air Force Academy grounds, the other 25+ campuses are not on the Academy grounds.

In 2015, 2,200 homes sold that are zoned to district 20.
19 properties, less than 1%, and typically condos, sold for less than $100,000.
240 properties, 11%, mostly condos and townhouses, sold between $100,000 and $200,000.
711 properties, 32%, sold between $200,000 and $300,000.
686 properties, 31%, sold between $300,000 and $400,000.
339 properties, 15%, sold between $400,000 and $500,000.
110 properties, 5%, sold between $500,000 and $600,000.
58 properties, 2.6%, sold between $600,000 and $700,000.
15 properties, .7%, sold between $700,000 and $800,000.
110 properties, 5%, sold between $500,000 and $600,000.
1 property, .05%, sold between $900,000 and $1,000,000.
8 properties, .36%, sold between $1,000,000 and $1,899,000.
Median finished square footage was 2,810.
Median year built was 1998.
Median cumulative days on market was 55.
Sellers got a median of 99% of their asking price at the time of contract.
Median sales price was $320,000.
Median sales price per square foot was $109.
Median concession that sellers gave buyers for closing cost or other approved expenses was $2,000.
680 houses, 31% had unfinished basements. As a rule these houses were a little older with a median year built of 1988.
