I was once asked, ‘How long is a piece of string’? Of course there are several answers to this question. Twice as long as half its length could be one and then there is the old stand-by; it is as long as you need it to be. And in this case, it was just the right length to hold all the plumbing parts together to keep the tub trap from falling apart and leaking.
