Living on Cocoa Beach offers many perks and one of the favorite activities is watching rockets launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station on Florida's Space Coast. We will have a chance to do so this evening when SpaceX makes its fourth (4th) attempt to launch the Falcon 9. The launch was scrubbed three times, for various reasons, including the last attempt on Sunday evening.
The rocket is set to liftoff from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station today, Tuesday, March 1, 2016 and will carry an SES-9satellite which will provide Southeast Asia with high speed internet and HD TV.
Liftoff is set for 6:35pm to avoid upper level winds. The window is long, about 1-1/2 hours and currently the weather looks great so come out and watch history in the making!
Each launch is unique so don't miss it. Arrive early to enjoy our gorgeous weather and find a good spot to view the launch. Don't forget to bring your camera and take plenty of pics to commerate this special occasion.
