Will Blog To Educate
I have found that I practice 2 types of blogging. Maybe you do too. One is planned and the other is organic. I'll explain.
Planned Blogging
Generally I have a plan for blogging. I have a topic or "category" that I want to write about and a frequency for getting it done. For example, I've been writing monthly posts about local events. I'll continue to do this once month. That's my PLAN!
Organic Blogging
The second type of blogging is something I call "organic" blogging. It's my favorite! This could happen while working with a client. Something happens that would make a good post. Today I was reading through some Featured blog posts and an idea hit me! Boom! Organic blogging!
I love "organic" blogging.
I had a "boom" moment today. While reading George Suoto's post, 4 Types of Bloggers I Don't Want Be Like, I decided to write my own post about the type of blogger I want be! I'll take his post and put a positive spin on it! That's what I'll do!
So here I am! I want to be the type of blogger that educates! Who do I want to educate? I've got 2 audiences. (1) The public. I want to write to buyers and sellers. I want to share my knowledge of the market and the process of buying and selling real estate. I want to educate the public so that they can make good decisions. (2) Other professionals. I want to share best practices and experiences.
My overall goal is to add value to my readers. Blogging is a great way to educate. Face to face is likely the best option, but with more and more people searching the Internet and Googling for answers, blogging is the next best!
