Nice report for your area of White Bear Lake.  Hmm, why is it called white bear?  No polar bears there right?

Thanks David. Actually there is a Sioux legend surrounding the name of White Bear Lake. It is a kind of Native American Romeo & Juliet story with a big white bear on Manitou Island (an island in the center of White Bear Lake.  The high school mascot in White Bear are the Bears because the Polars are in North St. Paul...a few miles away.
