Living in South Florida, we are lucky enough to have the art of nature around us constantly. As a result, artists are surrounded my inspiration at every turn.
Another benefit of living in South Florida is having the ability to view art by these talented artists all of the time. What better time than now to check out the Festival of the Arts BOCA. This year, the Schmidt Family Centre for the Arts will present its 10th annual festival from March 4th - March 16th. The mission statement of this festival is to "promote the cultural arts and to enrich the quality of life of the residents of Boca Raton, North Broward and Palm Beach County".
This festival has won countless awards, and this year the festival will feature the best from musicians, to the creative minds of film makers, and even authors. This year's festival will be located at Mizner Park, which was recently chosen by the American Planning Association as one of the ten best urban places in the United States. The location is chosen carefully, and this year's festival is an opportunity to bring people of all ages and backgrounds together to celebrate traditions of art and to bring to light the diversity surrounding the arts.
This event is a shining light of positivity for Boca, as the artists are just as appreciative to be in attendance, as the attendees are to attend. This is a movement, and its hard to not feel the inspiration and commitment to community betterment when in attendance. The audience will be exposed to art that they wouldn't otherwise see, and the education element of this festival is just as important as the festival itself. Young people will be able to witness great artists in master classes, presenting lectures, and participating in open rehearsals. The idea - that attendees will walk away with knowledge and with inspiration.
The Festival of the Arts BOCA has established Boca Raton and Palm Beach County, alike, as the home of a “best-of-class” cultural arts experience.
You won't want to miss this festival, so make sure you visit the Festival of the Arts BOCA's website to learn how to purchase tickets, and to see the schedule and all other details surrounding the festival.
