The home of the late vice chairman of Lazard Freres & Co. is for a sale for a whopping $67.5 million.
The estate of Damon Mezzacappa owns the 22,164-square-foot mansion. It was listed on Friday, the Palm Beach Daily News first reported, and is the most expensive existing residential property on the market in Palm Beach.
Villa Venezia, at 1485 South Ocean Boulevard, was designed by Jeffrey W. Smith. The waterfront estate features seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms and two-half baths. It was built in 2000 and sits on 2.3 acres, according to Palm Beach property records.
The Mediterranean-style, two-story mansion features a fireplace, temperature controlled wine room, 300 feet of frontage along the Intracoastal, a library and a gym. Christian Angle of Christian Angle Real Estate is the listing agent.
