I guess I have to love what I do to be sitting at my desk this Saturday at noon when I could easily be at lunch with my wife or out with my Daughter who leaves to head back to college tomorrow. Don’t get me wrong I have a date with my wife this evening, yes I still call it a date after 23 years of marriage, and I have a date with my daughter later this afternoon to see “Gods of Egypt” that’s a movie in the theaters currently, (I have no interest in seeing this movie) but my daughter said she needs to see it for a class she is taking.
Side note…Just got a call from realtor who said I knew you would be in today…Can you get me a lender letter for my client. I love my job!
So I do get my family time and I don’t feel like my work infringes on my personal life. My 15 year old son works for a florist across the street from my office so we have a Saturday morning ritual getting an egg sandwich before I drop him off and go to work myself.
Another call…another of my favorite realtor’s between showings and wants to review her 4 clients I have qualified in the last 2 weeks. I am more than happy to review … I’m back… So her client just showed up. I love my job!
I feel like rates are what rates are, I rarely lose a client to rate…but I earn clients with service. My clients are really realtors and their buyer are their clients, I am honored that they trust me with their clients, and I do my best to treat everyone the same way I would want someone to treat my mom. Why is it always relate back to mommy, I guess that could be a whole other post…lol. I digress.
I met with a client this morning to take a loan application and discuss some grant programs that are available. I do my best to meet with clients and take application before they find a home. I can have the income and credit underwritten before they have a contract it really help alleviate their anxiety and the mad rush later in the process. This is probably my favorite part of the entire process next to going to settlement. I try to get to as many settlements as I can. I love the happy smiling clients and realtors…
New email, from a buyer who doesn’t think he needs a realtor, which is definitely another post, Silly people, needs a letter to put an offer in today! I love my job!
I think I am going to prepare this application so I can turn it in to my process first thing Monday morning and call it a day. I hope everyone is having similarly productive day as I am. I love my job!
Thanks for reading my ramblings,
Scott
