Susan Laxson  so happy you read it.. this is such a new program we are so excited for potential buyers that have been left out of homeownership.  Works well for couples where one has bad credit but good income.. they can now buy a home... Do you have a lender that specializes in this FNMA program... it is so helpful to have one that really understands all the ins and outs!  Thank you!

Good program to know. Does not work with two singles unrelated. They will get married and then has to buy each other out.....

Sam Shueh  NO>>>>>  unrelated singles CAN buy together.... roommates and boarder income can be counted and only the buyer can be on the title... so check into the program in California and I know you will sell a few homes just by knowing about this loan!  Thank you for the comment!  Oh.. maybe you were being funny.. I now "Get IT" funny!

Roomates are a good way for homebuyers to make those payments too.  When I was first licensed back in the 1980s, I worked in a real estate office not far from an Air Force base here in Sacramento.  I sold a lot of homes to the Airmen. Often, they were single, and would buy a 3 or 4 bedroom home, and then rent rooms to fellow airmen.

Great way to help pay off a mortage too!  This program is going to help a lot of people qualify that could not any other way!  Thanks to FNMA for coming up with this buying option!

Wow, that's good news. It will motivate those already renting with a roommate towards buying.  Love it.
