The 7 Reasons you should use to identify who will represent you in one of largest purchases you'll make in your lifetime?
1) Experience. Using an agent with 1-5 deals under their belt could cost you a deal or cause you to overpay for your purchase.
2) Knowledge. A good agent may be able to identify an issue with the home that may eliminate it from your list before wasting money on an inspection, not to mention getting excited about something that may not be meant to be.
3)Experience again. Consider this, if you had to have a major operation or medical procedure done, who would you want to work on you?
4)Experience once again. An agent who has done considerable business will have a strong support team, his team may consist of a strong mortgage banker, a good title agent, sound insurance agent, professional home inspector and various handyman, painters, carpenters etc. Also may have connections for good pricing on such items as counter tops and cabinetry.
5)Knowledge strikes again: Having sold hundreds of properties means or may mean that your agent has personal knowledge on many communities verses a few or none. This is key for someone new to our area who is totally dependent on their agent for location advice.
6)Listening ability: You most definitely need to have an agent who listens to and understands your needs. Major frustration is imminent if your agent does not comprehend or understand what is most important to you.
7)Availability: You must have realtor representation from someone who is there when you need them. Ideally someone who has your best interests at heart and works 7 days a week and provides the type of communication that you desire.
