We love Warrenton!  It has so much history and charm, while at the same time offering many amenities.  It’s close enough to D.C. without being too close--think less traffic and more trees.  It’s a family-friendly town with great schools, shopping, and outdoor recreation opportunities.  
 
We love taking walks as a family on the Warrenton Greenway path or around the soccer fields at the WARF (Warrenton Aquatic and Recreation Facility).  Our kids love playing at the awesome playground at the WARF and at Rady Park.  We look forward every year to Gumdrop Square on Main Street at Christmas time, the Warrenton Spring Festival, the Warrenton-Fauquier Heritage Day, the Saturday Farmer’s Market, and the Father’s Day Car Show.  This town honestly has something to look forward to pretty much year-round.  
 
Our neighborhood is tucked away in a private cul-de-sac with only five other homes.  Yet, we are less than five minutes away from three different grocery stores and other shopping. The location of this home really is top-notch!  We are right around the corner from Route 29 and right down the road from historic Main Street Warrenton.  It’s a quick trip to Gainesville, Haymarket, and I-66 as well.  Our neighbors have always been willing to lend a hand, a snowblower, or whatever else we’ve needed.  During bad snowstorms we have a neighbor who always emails us to check-in and make sure we are all okay or if we need anything.  
 
There are a plethora of restaurants nearby.  If you like barbecue, Red Hot & Blue is a great choice!  Foster’s Grille has delicious hamburgers and LongHorn Steakhouse is our go-to place for chicken fingers (their ranch dressing is the best too).  For fancier meals check out Claire’s at the Depot and The New Bridge. 
 
We looked at many houses during our search for the perfect home.  As we were driving up Bethany Lane, I think my heart skipped a beat and I tried not to get too excited!  I could see my husband felt just as excited.  Seeing the huge yard right to our left with all the beautiful, mature trees took my breath away.  Then we pulled into the driveway and I remember thinking “This looks like the perfect, all-American family home.”  We walked through the front door and it immediately felt like home.  It was bright, felt warm and homey.  I loved all the windows, the fireplace, and the slanted walls in what is now our nursery.  I knew this would be the perfect home to start our married life and begin our family....This was definitely THE one!
 
The magnificent property, which is just over two acres and includes a stream and fenced-in backyard, is just one of the notable features of this home.  We’ve planted a handful of trees to complement the many mature trees that already reside on the property.  You will be in awe come the spring when the yard erupts with a menagerie of colorful blooms from all the branches.  The other seasons are just as beautiful.  Inside, there are plenty of windows and french doors leading out to the deck which allow plenty of light to enter.  We replaced all the windows in 2010 and installed two additional windows in the family room.  The woodburning fireplace in the family room is great to cuddle in front of on those chilly, winter nights.  In the kitchen, we replaced the counters with quartz, painted all the cabinets white and added crown molding, installed stainless steel appliances, and created a huge pantry.  The bedrooms are quite large and the closets are spacious.  There is ample storage in the walkout basement with great potential for additional living space.  
 

 

Deciding to sell this home has been one of the most difficult decisions we’ve ever made.  We absolutely love living here!  It was our first home after getting married, it’s where we brought both of our babies home from the hospital, it’s where some of our most favorite memories have been made.  We know it’s time for us to move on, but this place will always hold a special place in our hearts.  We hope that this home will continue to be filled with joy, laughter, and many new memories!
