Pullen Park opend on March 22nd, in 1887. Its like the Central Park of New York City, only much smaller in size. This quaint little park is a wonderful place to stop of and explore. Parking is free yet it may be tight finding a spot during the weekend rush.
You could rent spaces to cook out and even take a spin the mini train around the park, take a paddle boat out for a ride (when that option is in season) or just troll/jug throughout the park.
You will also come across some beautiful sculptures. This is a tribute to the 1960 TV Land characters, Andy Griffith and Opie.
Mini train passing over a bridge. It only cost $1.00 to ride!
