Friday March 11th
5:30PM Rush Hour Concert -- Charleston Academy of Music faculty member, Ulyana Machneva, presents a solo guitar recital at the Murray Center. Price: FREE
6:00PM Palmetto Loading Dock Music Series -- Head on down to Palmetto Brewing and check out this free concert from 6-10PM. The featured food truck this week is Short Grain. Performances by: Kylie Odetta, Drymill Road, Michael Martin & the Beautiful Mess, and Jake McVey Price: FREE
7:00PM Mike and Caroline perform at Coastal Coffee Roasters. Price: FREE
10:00PM Reef Donkey at Sand Dollar Social Club on Folly Beach. Now that warm weather is rolling in, what better way to kick off the weekend than with some great beach music. Price: FREE
Saturday March 12th
7:00AM Summerville YMCA Shamrock Shuffle. This event features a 5k, 10k, and 1 mile Fun Run. Price: SOLD OUT, Spectators FREE
8:00AM 10th Annual Walk for Water. Water Missions will be holding their annual Charleston Walk for Water to raise money to provide clean water systems for people around the world. The 3 mile walk represents the average distance that people around the world must travel to obtain clean water. Check-in/Registration begins at 8AM and the walk begins at 10:10 at the Joe. Price: $20 through noon on Friday 3/11 $25 registration fee day of event.
10:00AM-4:00PM Summers Corner Home and Garden Party. Come out and see six model homes, while enjoying live music, games, and many other family friendly activities. Price: FREE
12:00PM-4:00PM St. Paddy's Pawlooza. Celebrate St. Patrick's Day Weekend with your pooch at Wannamaker County Park. Begin your festivities with your four legged friend at your side and enjoy live music, craft beer, and food trucks. Price: $5
12:00-6:00PM North Charleston St. Patrick's Day Block Party. Head on down the Olde Village of North Charleston to kick off your St. Patrick's Day festivities. Live music, food vendors, jump castle and an inflatable obstacle, in addition to the parade. parade begins at Park Circle at Noon. Price: FREE
6:05PM Dog Days of Winter Stingrays Game. Bring your dog along for the Stingrays matchup against the Atlanta Gladiators. Price: $8-$24
7:00PM Dancing with the Ark's Stars. Come enjoy this great event at Pinewood Prep for an excellent cause. There will also be a silent auction in addition to seeing Summerville celebrities "shake it off" for an amazing organization. You can also vote for your favorite dancer for a $10 donation HERE. Price: $50 in advance, $60 at door.
Sunday March 13th
1:00-5:00PM Second Sunday on King Street. Always a great time, and the weather should be great for this month's Second Sunday. Enjoy strolling along King Street and visiting the merchants as the road is shut down to vehicles for four hours South of Calhoun. Price: FREE
