Inspired by Patricia Feager post Is Technology The New Dragon?

dragonI would like to say that I believe that meekness, in form of the art of LISTENING will defeat the dragon of technology.

While many other agents in town have been complaining of slow sales I've never been busier and I attribute it in large to the fact that when I am working with a client they have my undivided attention.

Sure I'd love to say that clients flock to me because of my website, my blogging, or because I'm fantastically handsome (LOL) but the truth is they leave the field of "prospects" and become clients because I listen.

If Technology is the dragan human interaction will always slay the dragan. Meekness in the form of listening to what the client needs will also trump shouting about how great, how big, and how smart you are.

Bob, people choose an agent based on TRUST. I am convinced that Listening to the consumer is a great way of connecting with them so you can build that trust.

Excellent point John Wiley and as you say if they know you are listening to their needs building that trust will come much easier.

Another excellent Blog Bob "RealMan" Timm!  So very true and 'listening' is an art, and not just for realtors.  Those that possess or learn meekness in the form of 'listening' will be winners!  I've always loved the phrase, "The Meek Shall Inherit the Earth - because they will be too polite to refuse it."

Hey Bob I agree. If you do nothing but play with technology all day expecting "real" business think again. As much as folks rely on it today we still need human contact to make it work.
