Be Alert For Life's Surprises

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty 0575737

Cat SurpriseI have caught myself in many business and personal situations saying to myself,

"Life Will Surprise You Sometimes"

There are two categories of these surprises, bad ones and good ones. I try not to dwell on the bad ones too long, someone dying suddenly, disappointment, not meeting expectations, things taking longer to do or costing more, heartache. But there can be a silver lining with them and a blessing in disguise or even Karma effect if you follow them a little further.

The good surprises on the other hand, business or personal, just seem to be a pure joy. A client who sticks in your life long term, someone you never thought would be a friend being the most loyal to you. A helping hand that came out of nowhere. Someone sticking up for you. A simple someone asking how you are doing? Animals making us laugh with their silliness, unconditional love and warmth. An unexpected gift of time, talent or treasure. Kindness done to you without anything asked in return. The joy of the good surprises you may experience moment to moment is only limited by you staying alert and recognizing them.

Wake up to the many surprises you find yourself bumping into in life, and relish each one, even the ones that have a little learning for you about something in the ones that can sting. Life will surprise you sometimes. If not ALL the time!!

I'm not a fan of surprises of any kind. I do prefer the good ones though.

I seem to recall something else that someone said that goes hand in hand with this and that is the phrase "Isn't that interesting."

Will: You have a super day too.

Karen: I see that point, with no surprises it is a lot more controlled environment.

Patricia: The good ones are great .....

Sondra: Howdy. I am good with making lists :)

Sharon: Yes I remember that thought from another blog post, when things go sideways, you say that.

William: We can go through the bad surprises, and probably we adapt better believe it or not through life as we handle more and more in that category.

Surprises are fun. Naturally we all love the good ones. However,  I agree, bad surprises can bring many lessons in learning, understanding, compassion, etc. They are opportunities to Grow. :) Happy Saturday, Gary. D

I'm really not much of a surprise kind of person but if I get one I'd prefer it be a happy one.
