Saturday's Scene ~ Understanding the Identity Crisis 03/2016

Real Estate Agent with Florida Supreme Realty SL514814

Do you have a personal "landmark' that resonates with the viewer? When you think about Hawaii what landmark first comes to mind? Diamond Head is probably the most recognized. San Francisco? Las Vegas? Washington D.C.? Almost every location we visit has a memorable piece of its landscape or history that marks and commemorates the origins.

In Florida a place like St. Augustine has a Fountain of Youth although the physical whereabouts of this remains with our plethora of plastic surgeons instead of an actual place. No one knows if Ponce de Leon was even close to finding it but he did have a strong conviction that it existed. If you believe it. the ability to accomplish more will always be within your grasp with all that you seek.

Go to Key West and a simple buoy designates that you've reached the Southernmost point in the United States. Philadelphia has its Liberty Bell. San Francisco has the Bay Bridge. Do you have an identifier which denotes the municipality where you live or play. Man made or natural they're all easily recognizable to the local residents.

Jupiter Lighthouse .intentionally out of focus

Today's spotlight is on the Jupiter Lighthouse and it's intentionally been left out of focus here, however, the effect remains. Find your mark and carry it with you but don't bring a blurry perception, clarity shines much brighter!

Kevin, we certainly do have our share of recognizable landmarks in this town! And they are great fun to photograph!

I'm heading to downtown Minot in a few minuets and I'm hoping to photograph something (don't know what) that people will see and go "that's Minot!". Thanks for the idea Kevin J. May

The lighthouse was the first thing I noticed on your profile! It is a great landmark and something I look forward to seeing everytime I cross that bridge!  Nice post!

Hey Kevin-in Miami it may be the Freedom Tower but most people think Miami and Miami Beach is the same thing so I would then say iconic Ocean Drive and the colorful Art Deco hotels.
