Each time one of my favorite musicians passes a piece of my rythym dies along with them. I never forget their tunes or tone or lyric but a stumble is added into the memory which is like a scratch on a vinyl LP. They're not supposed to be heard yet become an integral part of your collection. Many albums have scratches which can be digitally removed but some tell a story of what led to its existence in my collection. Emerson, Lake & Palmer holds a unique position for progressive style and I wanted to share an often heard introduction which lets you know they're about to begin. A tradition long lived for ELP concert goers. ENJOY!
