Two houses may be priced the same but have very, very different values.
 
One house has all the positives we look for in a house.
 
The other may have:

Geological /soil issues
 
Environmental issues
 
Plumbing issues - such as polybutylene supply side pipes or cast iron drain pipes
 
Electrical issues - such as a Federal Pacific Electric - Stab Lock breaker box or other breaker box that an electrician should evaluate
 
Roof issues - such as a T-Lock roof
 
Flooring issues - such as laminate floors that are the subject of a class action lawsuit
 
These are just some of the aspects of a house that a knowledgeable broker will review with you so you know the difference in value from one house to the next.
 
Be sure the broker you are working with helps you understand and evaluate the "details that make a difference" when you are looking for your next home.
