65,000 Acres of Natures Beauty on the Edge of Milwaukee; Waukesha County Wisconsin
Our friends Kristin Johnston and Tom Braatz spend a lot of time telling us about the great little communities spread throughout this nice bit of human habitat along the edge of Milwaukee, now today I am going to speak a little about the the Wildlife habitat in their home county.
Waukesha County may seem like part of Milwaukee at first glance, but that is only if you fail to get off the freeway and really look around at the wonderful recreational opportunities here.
The plentiful wild furry friends of this county can attest that it is a great place for more than just humans with 65 thousand acres of forests teeming with Deer, Turkeys, Grouse, Rabbits, and much more.
The county hosts 25 thousand acres of Oak forests, 14 thousand acres of Central Hardwoods, and 10 thousand acres of Northern Hardwood forests.
