Grand Mesa Cabins For Sale...Winter Market Update March 2016
This is the time of the month when I normally do my real estate market update on Grand Mesa cabins and lots for sale. At this time there isn't anything new to report. Cabin and lot sales generally don't happen during the winter months. There haven't been any real estate sales or new listings since October of 2015.
Let's look at what is available for sale:
- There are seven cabins on the market. Prices start at $175,000 and go up to $329,000.
- Two cabins sold in 2015. The selling prices were $160,000 and $220,000. The last cabin sale happened in late October of 2015.
- There are five lots listed for sale. Prices start at $48,000 and top out at $71,900. No lots sold during 2015.
- The inventory and pricing are always subject to change, but until some of the snow melts, I don't think we will be seeing any changes.
- February's real estate market report.
At this time there is still over five feet of snow on Grand Mesa. There is a fair amount of moisture in the snow that's up there, and that's good news. This morning it was reported to me there's 23 inches of water in the snow.
As long as the spring winds don't blow in a lot of dust, that is good news for our summer water supply. The dust absorbs all of the moisture in the snow. Although finishing off the winter season with 28 inches of water would be ideal, and we have to hope this area doesn't heat up all of sudden in the next couple of months, and all of the snow melts off and runs down Surface Creek.
