South Gate is a residential neighborhood in Sarasota located East of Tamiami Trail, South of Bee Ridge Rd, West of South Lockwood Ridge Rd, and just North of Webber.

The houses have between 1,000 and 3,000 sq ft under air.  Some houses have 2 car garages, 1 car garages, or car ports.  There were a large variety of homes that were built in South Gate.

The houses were primarily built in the 1950s and 1960s but there are also some newer houses.

Because the location is really great many people have chosen to buy in South Gate and remodel it to meet their tastes rather than buy in a newer neighborhood.  Other people enjoy the retro style of the houses with the terazzo floors and the 1960s style bathrooms and cabinets.

South Gate is a great place to live for now and the future.  

Over the course of my 17 year Real Estate career I have owned houses in South Gate, represented buyers, and represented sellers.  Its very popular with a large demographic of Sarasota.  South Gate appeals to people of all ages, retirees, families, and single people.  It also appeals to Real Estate Investors,  to buy fix and sell, as well as to hold.   It's a neighborhood that I really believe in because it has so much to offer.
