North Idaho showing itself off today !

I'm fond of trains too, Mark!  I suspect it is in my DNA somewhere.  My dad, and several uncles worked for the railroad.

When I lived in Bonners Ferry many years ago the barracks we lived in where right next to the tracks, still remember that train coming by in the wee hours of the morning creating an earthquake and blowing the horn.

Today did turn out to be a pretty day, didn't it? 

We live about 12 miles North of Priest River - so that far from the tracks. And yet, sometimes if I walk outside at night, I can hear the train tooting at a crossing.

Thank you for sharing such fantastic photo.  I had the pleasure of traveling through part of Boise last summer.  Beautiful place.

No wonder so many people from northern California move to Idaho. I didn't know there were trains like that today. Although, one of those clouds looks like a rain cloud to me.
